Want to make a difference and become a Big Brother or Big Sister?
If you like laughing and being a big kid, then you might be a perfect big brother or big sister.
Even if you don't have a lot of extra time, you can become what's called a "Big For A Day", like this employee from Valero who say’s "To see a kid smile and just have fun. It's rewarding." It only takes a few hours on a Saturday.
These kids are just a few of the more than 350 kids, ages 5- 18, waiting for a caring adult who can devote a little time to them on a regular basis.
Like 7 year old Isabella wants a Big Sister. "Because they'll help me with my homework."
Or 8 year old Christopher wants a Big Brother. "Go out to play games and visit maybe."
Or 13 year old Daylan who also wants a Big Brother. "Someone who likes sports, very active and someone that will last a long time."
Big Sisters are needed, but there is a tremendous need for more Big Brothers.
Overall, the kids just want somebody to hang out with. And you might be surprised how much fun you have to.
