SAN ANTONIO -- Fire destroyed a West Side home Thursday night.
Fire crew were called to a home on Zabra Drive near Marbach Road around 9:30 p.m. Thursday. Authorities say the fire started in a water heater and quickly spread throughout the house.
A man inside the home managed to get out, but a pet died in the fire.
Damage estimates were set at around $27,000.
