Rigged election but for the most part voter apathy was involved.

Property taxes will have to be raised to pay for these bonds. There is language in the proposition about it. I'm not even a property owner but I voted no. I believe in giving government as little money as possible to pay for its operation and services they supposedly supply to the citizens.

And not to add insult to injury, why, if they can payback the money for the bonds, can't they save up money for repairs. I know why. Cause saving money isn't in their vocabulary. They sure know how to spend it though. Oops wrong again. They don't know how to spend it. 6 million going for art. We don't know what kind of art or who the artist is. that is up to your (I live in Converse) leaders to decide. After all in the election that reelected the idiot mayor you have now only about 10% showed up. Our founding Fathers are rolling in their grave. If the election in November is like this, God or your higher being of choice, help us.

I dont want to hear any crying by those who didnt vote when their taxes go up. Why even register if your not going to vote. Just give your hard earned money away to politicians. Time to move out of this city of idiots.

Unbelievable people had all the time in the world with early voting to get out and vote and less than 8% turned out to vote you have no idea how pathetic that is. You let less than 8% of the people dictate to the rest of you bonds in excess of half a billion dollars yes folks that's right when you start wondering why in the hell we are even more in the hole deficit wise look back on this and the fact that a lot of you couldn't get your lazy asses out to even vote. Enjoy your lives.

That's exactly why this was done the way it was -- a separate voting issue that no one would take the time to vote against. I DID vote and I voted AGAINST all of it. The voting station was empty......Sad. And where was the media coverage on this?!? I no longer trust this City Council. And now they've been given another large sum of money to spend where they wish.....

I guess all the welfare kings and queens who don't pay taxes had their way regardless of what some of us wanted.

This is really sad, I had a ton of stuff to do today, but of all the important things I had to do VOTING was the most important. Why do you think it is a law that your boss has to give you time off to do it? It is that important. Now we these bonds passed, did anyone look at the cities budget before voting? We are running a deficite right now, before this, now we are going further in the hole. Good grief people we have to WAKE UP!

7.25% of the registered voters voting and you let these people decide for you what you want to have done. You should all be ashamed of yourself. Had to get your nails done or change the oil in your car. I can't believe it. People around the world put their lives on the line and you can't get you lazy ass out and vote. Don't b*tch you don't deserve that right. The one thing you can do to make a change and you blew it. Sad, really sad.
