Walmart to kick off 'Black Friday' on Thanksgiving Day

BENTONVILLE, Arkansas -- Walmart is kicking off its "Black Friday" deal on Thanksgiving Day.

The deals kick into high gear at 8:00 p.m. Thanksgiving Day. New offers will be introduced at 10:00 p.m., followed by more discounts offered on Black Friday at 5:00 a.m. Walmart plans to run a separate sale online.

The discounter is also giving away a $75 Walmart gift card with the purchase of an Apple iPad 2. But to get it, shoppers will have to be in the store and in line between 10:00 and 11:00 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day.

The store says the new hours are in response to customers who want to shop early so they can hit the sack after eating all that turkey.

Think I'd enjoy walking the aisles of Walmart more than sitting on my a$$ watching the Cowboys! Maybe I'll go fishing instead.

I like the part where Wally World doesn't give two sh@tz if a worker wants to be at home with their families instead of at work. Pretty sure they are taking volunteers for this fiasco but still, if you go as shoppers then you are deficating on the meaning of Turkey Day. Watching the Cowboys. (*cough*lose)
