SAN ANTONIO - Wal-mart is rationing the sale of ammunition.
The retailer is limiting ammunition sales at its stores across the country to three boxes per customer, per day.
Wal-mart said demand for ammunition has been high since the tragic shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, Connecticut last month.
The purchase limit will stay in place until the retailer is able to resolve the shortage.
Wal-mart said the decision to ration ammunition has nothing to do with politics.
