SAN ANTONIO -- A local veteran and his family received the keys to their new mortgage-free home, thanks to Operation Homefront and Wells Fargo. The home was made possible through the "Homes on the Homefront Program," which gives deserving veterans free homes.

The Easley family were the lucky ones to get their hands on a new home today, complete with new appliances, flooring and a gift basket. The family, including their six children, had moved to Texas two years ago to start a new life after Greg Easley retired from the military. They said the home couldn't have come at a better time.

"We can move on just a little bit better as we move forward in our lives," said Greg's wife, Betty.

Homes on the Homefront Program is always accepting applications from veterans in need of new homes. However, spots are limited.
