Two women killed in New Braunfels crash

NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas -- Police are investigating a crash that killed two women in New Braunfels.

Officers heard a loud crash around 12:15 a.m. Friday while patrolling near New Braunfels High School in the 2500 block of Loop 337. They then discovered a vehicle had crashed into a light pole near a private driveway/exit near Loop 337. When emergency medical crews arrived, they found the driver and a passenger inside the car were dead.

The victims have been identified as 21-year-old Samantha Summer Rose and 20-year-old Ashley Dawn Robles. Both are residents of New Braunfels.
