SAN ANTONIO -- Two girls were shot with an Airsoft BB gun inside their classroom at Woodlake Elementary School Tuesday morning, according to a Judson I.S.D. spokesperson.
Mom Janet Gallardo says her daughter had been bullied in a threatening note by the same girl four days before she pulled the trigger.
"She (the girl) said quite a few bad words in the letter and also mentioned she wanted to kill her that day. Before I was able to bring it to the principal to notify them about what happened, I get the call from the office saying she had been shot," Gallardo said. "I was shocked. I honestly started crying. I was scared."
The two students were not seriously hurt. Spokesperson Steve Linscomb says the girl had gotten the BB gun from a boy who had brought the gun to school. The two have been suspended for three days and are facing an alternative school assessment hearing Friday.
Gallardo says she doesn't think her daughter is safe at Woodlake Elementary, so she is going to enroll her in another school. She thinks the boy who brought the gun and the girl who pulled the trigger should be expelled.
