SAN ANTONIO -- Police have responded to two robberies in just three days at an apartment complex near UTSA.
The robberies happened at the Outpost Apartments in the 6800 block of UTSA Boulevard. In the latest attack, police say four men were inside an apartment playing poker, when three men came in with guns around 1:15 a.m. Wednesday. The victims told police they thought it was a Halloween prank, until they were pistol-whipped. The crooks took their cell phones and wallets and then left in gold Ford Taurus.
Two students were also robbed at gunpoint at the apartment complex around 11:00 p.m. Monday. As the two thieves were leaving, they hit a man outside with their shotgun. The robbers took off in a silver Cadillac.
Police are trying to determine if the two robberies are related. According to our Crime Tracker stats, police have been called out to the apartments around a half a dozen times this month.
