SAN ANTONIO -- Two people narrowly missed being crush by a car early Thursday morning.
Investigators say Roger Mendez, 18, was driving a Honda Civic down 36th Street near Freeman around 1:20 a.m. when he lost control at a curve.
His car ran through a guard rail, flipped several times through two yards, hit a tree and then landed on top of a black pickup truck.
The car ended up partially lodged in the tree.
Miraculously, the two people inside the truck -- Tony Santoy, 36, and Cassandra Medrano, 29 -- walked away from the accident and did not go to the hospital.
Mendez, the driver of the Honda, went to the hospital just as a precaution.
Police reported that speed was a factor in the crash.
