SAN ANTONIO -- Two people were hurt when they were struck by a car on the East Side.

Police said the pair was trying to cross South W. W. White Road near Lakewood Drive when they were hit. There was no crosswalk or stop light at the site. Both victims were taken to University Hospital with what were described as non-life threatening injuries.

Anybody know where the next cross-walk was located?

I am sorry but when you fail to cross in a designated crosswalk, you take a chance of being hit. I'm not saying people deserve to be hit, but they should certainly not expect folks to feel sorry for them.
