SAN ANTONIO -- Two people were hurt in a rollover crash on the West Side Friday morning.
Emergency crews were called to Highway 151 and Potranco Road around 6:45 a.m. Friday. A woman driving a Dodge Caliber said she spotted an Acura Integra behind her moving erratically and going from lane to lane. She told police at one point the Acura went off into the grassy median before the driver swerved back onto the highway. The driver of the Dodge said the Acura then rear-ended her car, causing her to lose control of the vehicle. Her car then rolled over and came to a stop in the grassy median.
Two witnesses who stopped to help said the driver of the Acura had 'cut them off' prior to hitting the Dodge. They told police he stopped to check on the people in the Dodge and claimed he fell asleep at the wheel, but he then got back in his car and left the scene before police arrived.
Two passengers in the Dodge Caliber, a 72-year-old man and a 70-year-old woman, were taken by EMS to Santa Rosa Westover Hills Hospital with what were described as non-life threatening injuries.
