Two arrested for tagging

If I were a judge I would sentence these sorts to a years worth of community service where they go around cleaning up graffiti especially in the areas where they live so that all their friends and peers can see them performing their tasks. And I would put them in prison coveralls while they performed their service. I would also offer them time off in reward for information they provide which leads to the arrest of other vandals they identify.

This was a felony. They should go to prison. I think it makes no sense at all Luigi, that you deface some elses property. Keep your hands, mouth, and paint cans to yourself. I don't need to see the trash on everything from dumpsters to over head street signs. If you want to see something that would be considered art, go to the museum, I don't need to see your crap on a stop sign.

Eh, Luigi, nothing wrong with citing my sources of info. The good thing is that I am knowledgeable enought to know that they had the definition spot on. And my outlook on life is 'Do the crime, do the time.' It's unnerving that alot of other people do not share that same philosophy. They would rather live 'Do the crime, get sent to rehab/get put on a lame probation/live out your days in Club Fed/get 3 hots and a cot with cable TV and access to porn.' If there were more rock busting and hard labor prison programs then maybe you will see a decline in property damages from graffiti. Again, your interpretation of being 'self-rightious' by painting over graffiti is off. I think it's more like having self-respect in your neighborhood or business to NOT have a gang tag ef'n up your view.

It's not "tagging"... its "vandalism" and its a crime, whether Luigi likes it of not...

Do I wanna screw up someone life for vandalism? You betcha! Do you know how much acts like this cost the tax payer and homeowners? What they did was destroy property. People work hard for materials to put a fence around their property and keep it up. What gives these ingrates the right to destroy that property? Oh sure, a little paint will cover their mess, but whose gonna pay for that paint, not to mention the labor involved to fix their deed? Making tagging a felon is one smart way to make these thugs think about what they are doing. I'm all for it.

@ camidawg: relying on wiki for your definitions is in itself a misinterpretation...and you wanting to screw up a person's future for such a minor act says enough about your outlook on life... @ Canaandogsrule: painting over graffiti, the way so many upstanding self-rightious folks do, looks pretty ef'n bad around town if you hadn't noticed...i much prefer the graffiti.
