SAN ANTONIO-- San Antonio police arrested two men on felony charges Tuesday morning for their alleged role in a money counterfeiting scheme.
Officers said they were caught at a Red Roof Inn on Loop 410 near Culebra around 12:45 a.m. Police said the suspects had been making the money in a room there for several days. The desk clerk caught on and called police after the two men asked for change for the counterfeit cash.
Police surrounded the building, and when they entered we're told they found printers, paper, and money bleaching going on.
One of the suspects attempted to jump from the second floor room to escape custody. Investigators said both were arrested, and now face 3rd degree felony charges.
The Secret Service is also investigating and both suspects could be facing federal charges as well.
