SAN ANTONIO -- Two airman stationed at Joint Base San Antonio - Lackland have been arrested for allegedly setting a fire at a Northeast Side Denny's Restaurant.

Ryan Monroe, 26, and Christopher Maddocks, 24, have both been charged with arson. The pair is accused of setting a Christmas tree on fire inside the Denny's on Interstate 35 near Rittiman Road back on December 16th. The fire caused about $150,000 in damage.

A warrant states Monroe and Maddocks were caught after an Air Force master sergeant saw a Crime Stoppers report and recognized them.

Gilly1041, first of all, I AM NOT A DUMBASS. I have an education, a job and provide for my family. DO YOU, or are you JUST another Military wife staying at home collecting all the benefits? And FDNY,I do understand PTSD, and I also know that there is treatment available for those who are suffering from it, BUT will they seek the help needed? NOT ALWAYS! I know two young ladies who are military wives, and the abuse they receive from their husbands is atrocious. My grandfather was a war veteran as well as my father and uncles, BUT I NEVER in my life ever saw them display any PTSD symptoms, cry or complain, they just dealt with it like a REAL MAN would. Back then, MEN were MEN. And they had no choice whether to enlist or not. I have nothing but respect for those who serve our country, BUT come on now, if you are not man enough to handle the job, and all that goes with it, then DON'T sign up for it.

Just Me- you clearly have no concept of what PTSD is, do you. Come live inside the mind of my husband for half a day and I guarantee you will be singing a different tune. War Veterans who have PTSD are often the last to admit there is a problem so therefore are the last to blame things they do on it. It is evident to me you dislike those in uniform and the concept of a military that fights to protect the freedoms you clearly take extremely for granted. Would it be fair to say your civilian behind is crazy just because thousands of deviants are on YOUR side of this line you've decided to draw here in an effort to make everyone in the military out to be some deranged maniac?

...And they blame the President for the problems of this country. Maybe they ought to start looking at the Military. We have pyromaniacs (Monroe and Maddocks), sexual deviants (Luis Walker, Jamey Crawford, Col. Glenn Palmer, and many many more that have yet to be caught), murderers (Maj. Nidal Hasan). PTSD cannot be blamed for this crap!

BACKTOYOU - Not that it has anything to do with this case but most criminals lean towards the democratic party (looking for something for nothing.)

What does someone's political affiliation have to do with the fact a crime was committed??? That statement is about as stupid and simpleminded as what these two jack-knockers did.

I heard they caught a big eyed tuna on the canvas and that is why they were arrested. It bothers me a lot because arson is a crime against nature, and when the crows sing they are doing hymns about the watchers of the field. I had a friend once, a Mexican family member, and he said this to me: En lugar de mirar con envidia la autonomia de los demas, es necesario comprender que la fuerza para lograr la propia esta en uno mismo.
