BEXAR COUNTY, Texas -- A truck caught fire along Interstate IH-37 in Southeast Bexar County Friday night.
Investigators said a man driving a truck with an RV trailer hitched to the back noticed he was having a mechanical problem when he saw smoke. The man jumped out of the truck when he saw fire near two propane tanks. The trailer was soon fully engulfed in flames.
Firefighters said they were afraid of a possible explosion when they learned the man also had ammunition in his truck.
Fire investigators are now trying to find out what sparked the fire.
The frontage road remained closed as crews cleared the scene.
No injuries were reported.
