I live down the street from this facility and wondered when something tragic like this would happen. The lady running this home should be completely investigated. Neighbors have complained for years about how she operated this home without any supervision.Every resident there is looks like he is homeless. They panhandle for money up and down the street and at HEB around the corner. What does the Lady do with the reimburstment she gets from the state and where is the agency that follows through with this, I would like to know when the last time the facility was inspected not only for fire codes but also for the amount of people this home is suppose to house. Thirteen people is way to many. She also built apts in the back of this home and lives next door with several more residents. INVESTIGATE THIS FACILITY. People died because of lack of enforcement!!!
