GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas (AP) - Police are investigating a suburban Dallas traffic accident that killed three children and injured another child.

Grand Prairie police say a stalled car came to rest Sunday on the side of a freeway when it was struck from behind by a pickup.

The children were in the back seat and not wearing seat belts.

Twelve-year-old Maria del Refugio Gonzalez and 13-year-old Diana Gonzalez died at a hospital Sunday. Six-year-old Jesus Gonzalez died Monday at a hospital.

The fourth child, 10-year-old Maria de Jesus Gonzalez, remained hospitalized Tuesday. The driver of the truck was not injured.

Police say the children's mother was driving when the car stalled. Investigators say 31-year-old Maria Vasquez does not have a driver's license. She sustained minor injuries.

No charges have been filed in the case.

Mommy dearest looks like she's racked up several charges here. Shame, shame, shame. Those children died because of choices she made and also failed to make all at the same time. She chose to drive without a license and she failed to ensure her children were properly restrained. I smell a jail sentence.

Mother's last name is Vasquez. All children's last names are Gonzalez. Mother doesn't have a driver's license. I see a pattern here.
