SAN ANTONIO -- They're calling them ‘Tea Party’ protests and they're going on all across the country. But San Antonio’s is expected to be one of the biggest and thousands of people attended. It’s all to send a message they hope will be heard. Those here want their message to be loud and clear and they expressed it in many ways.
Although the event Website asked that no one bring signs there were plenty of them.

Many are also connecting Wednesday’s protest to the original American Revolution's Tea Party in Boston and, of course, being at the Alamo the Shrine of Texas Liberty. Some say they don't want lose that.
Paul Holder says he’s there because “We are heading toward a socialist government and I don't want to see any part of that.”
The San Antonio Tea Party grabbed national attention with radio and TV talk show host Glenn Beck airing his TV show here on Fox While many came to see that, others came to say ‘no more spending.’
Nicole Gess says, “It just doesn't make sense all the spending the government is doing. Where are they getting the money from?”
Some even took off work to come here like Casey Shattick who says, “The earmarks that we know are in the bill. It's an opportunity to say, ‘Enough, you need to start listening to us.’
