SAN ANTONIO -- The need at Family Service Association is big. And with holidays just around the corner, they need you to help out by adopting a family.

Xochitl Cortez Davis, Director of Communications and Marketing, says, "Economically, it's more challenging than it even was last year. And the need has increased so much."

Last year, Debra Cortez reached out for help to make sure her five kids had a good Christmas. She's a single mother after her husband died of a massive heart attack.

"We were just so, so happy and overwhelmed," says Cortez says about her children. "They were just thanking God for it and they knew it was going to be their first Christmas without their dad."

She's working, but couldn't get ahead and says the adopt-a-family program was a lifesaver.

If you would like to help, by adopting a family this holiday season, you can dial 210-299-2400.
