Hey, aren't all these developers and new business owners part of the evil rich? As Boss Tweed Obama say's we are supposed to be jacking their taxes up through the roof, not giving them tax and utility fee abatements. The rich are not paying their fair share, remember? What the heck is Castro - the keynote speaker at the Democrat Convention no less - doing giving them tax breaks? You mean to tell me that tax breaks spur economic growth?!!!

It would be helpful to society if Planet K were pushed out, those kind of "smoke" shops only encourage drug dealers.

I agree with preexisting's comment... No one is forcing her to sell. Even the tax argument doesnt hold water- you can look it up, her taxes have actually gone down every year for the past four years. But a sad story makes for better tv, even if it's not true.

They can always refuse to sell. Choosing to sell for inordinate amounts of money is a choice. So, too, is electing not to sell. Fairness has nothing to do with it; freedom to choose to sell or not to sell is what's in issue, and isn't freedom a good thing?

It is not fair how people that have lived there all their lives get pushed out. Why should they lose what they have worked for. Where are they suppose to go? It doesn't matter as long as some people get what they want. This is one unfair city and it always will be.
