This is really STUPID. You’re going to “tax everyone” that uses the hospitals, BUT YOU ADMIT THAT NOT EVERYONE IS PAYING THEIR BILLS! That means that the rest of us who DO pay our medical premiums will have a greater amount levied on our insurance, and drive our insurance rates up to cover it. Yes, @cosmo511, she’s a complete idiot. Remember, she’s the one that dragged her cronies out of state to avoid a vote a year or two ago. I have to agree, @txgirl1960…Van de Putte thinks we’re all stupid, because…she keeps messing us over and still get’s reelected! She must be right, at least for her district.

Stop allowing people to abuse Medicaid and get people off Medicaid! This would lower healthcare cost!

So let me get this straight....if you add a tax to my hospital bill somehow I am going to be paying less. That affects my insurance premium how? Medicaid and Medicare reimbursements to hospitals and doctors are already so small many doctors are dropping those patients but adding a tax (that Medicaid and Medicare probably won't pay) will fix that. Oh good Lord. She must think we are all stupid.

Van de Puke would be better serve us if her & her leftist liberals would quit advertising for illegal aliens to come over to Texas for freebies. Coincidently, there has been an increase of these'freeloaders' at our local hospitas. We should be serving our own 'american indigents'. "Spanish speaking only always means: Expense to the use of a translater(expense), get spanish written consents(expense), pressure outside agency to offer them 'Free' services to care for them (so they say) & their own family request to get paid to care for them...aah Its either 'free' services, or 'residential' stay in hospitals. A cost to 'ALL' taxpayers! ! Van de Puke is a joke:0

Someone should tell Ms. Van De Puke that the poor will not pay these taxes. They don't pay their hospital bills at all. What make this moron think that if they don't pay their hospital bill, how does she expect to get a tax out of them. This is just another way to get more money out of those of us that work for a living and pay our bills. This woman is an idiot, I just hope she doesn't have me beat up for voicing my humble opinion.

C'mon, folks . . . let's begin by being HONEST. If you politicians want to add a new tax, then call it a tax and stand by your idea. Calling it a "fee" is dishonest, and dishonesty is a poor way to gain the trust of your constituents!

We need to tax everyone to get federal funds folks! It's a GREAT deal! These idiot gimmicks are why health costs costs have increased $3,000 per family per year under Hussein Obama.
