WALLER, Texas (CNN) -- Three people, including two freshmen from Texas A&M University, were killed in a crash near Houston over the weekend.

The accident happened early Sunday morning. Police say a white Mustang hit an SUV carrying three students. That SUV burst into flames.

The 18-year-olds were in A&M's military group, the Corps of Cadets. One student survived and was taken to the hospital.

The driver of the Mustang also died. Police say she was driving the wrong way on the highway when she hit the students. They also believe alcohol was a factor, after finding beer bottles in the car.
