SAN ANTONIO -- A couple is still shaken up after two men tried to break down their door early this morning.
Oralia Galvan, 62. and her husband Fidel, 64, heard loud banging on their apartment door on Thompson place. Panic set in when the aggressive man on the other side started to use a table to ram the door and was being vulgar. Quick thinking Fidel moved the sofa in front of the door and used all his strength to hold it shut.
Galvan said, "I was thinking something is going to happen. I need to keep him out but if he gets in something will happen."
Remembering those terrifying moments he was fighting to protect his wife made Fidel break down and cry.
Police got there just in time and took down the intruder who put up a fight with officers. A second man was arrested in a nearby vacant home. Officers believe the two guys were looking for someone but were at the wrong house. The two suspects are also accused of stealing beer from a nearby convenience store.
