SAN ANTONIO - An off-duty officer came to the rescue of two teens trapped in a burning car.

Sgt. Jess Garcia was driving home from work around 3 am Saturday when he came across a car smashed into a traffic pole at Loop 1604 and Sulfur Springs road. The vehicle was on fire!

Sgt. Garcia pulled the driver out. A passer by, an off duty firefighter, helped with the passenger.

The teens and Sgt. Garcia were taken to the hospital with burns.

Hope this guy wasn't a pathetic punk revenue generator but actually does something good within the SAPD hierarchy.
