SAN ANTONIO- A teenager is in serious condition at San Antonio Military Medical Center after he allegedly shot himself in the stomach.

The shooting happened at the Encinal Apartments on Utopia on the Southeast Side. Police said three teens were playing with a gun when it accidentally discharged and hit one of them. The two other teenagers ran to another apartment with the gun.

Police took them in for questioning, and say the gun may be stolen.

It wasn't an 'accident'. It was NEGLIGENT. Guns are not alive remember?

I'm sorry these kids had to learn the hard way, but again, guns don't ACCIDENTALLY fire. Unless the trigger was pulled that bullet would still be in the chamber... by the way WHY was there a bullet IN the chamber? Oh yeah, stupid gun owner. And as for the "owner" of that firearm, you give law abiding gun owners a bad rap you idiot. Secure it and lock it away from kids who clearly have never taken a gun safety course. On the other hand... if it was stolen, why am I wasting time chastising a "bad" gun owner? Thieves rarely follow the law. Sheesh.

Speak, the Grammer Nazi says: The plural of the noun antenna is antennae when the word denotes the flexible sensory appendages on insects and other animals. But when antenna denotes a metallic apparatus for sending or receiving electromagnetic signals, American and Canadian writers usually use antennas. British writers tend to use antennae for both purposes........yeah.
