SAN ANTONIO -- A man is recovering after he was stabbed during a robbery and police say he was the robber. It happened on Zarzamora Street near Laredo Street on the west side.
Police say it was around 10:30 p.m. Sunday when the man attempted to rob a 16-year-old boy. The teen pulled out a knife and stabbed the man in the head and chest, police said.
Investigators say it was about an hour later when the would-be robber called police from his home. Police were able to find evidence that linked the man to the robbery. He faces robbery charges. He was taken to University Hospital in stable condition. Police say the teen will not face charges.
