SAN ANTONIO -- A teen was hit by a car Downtown Tuesday morning.

The accident happened around 8:20 a.m. in the 400 block of North Flores. Police say the driver of a black Hyundai Genesis was turning east onto Pecan from North Flores when she hit the 17-year-old girl. The driver told police she hit the girl after the teen appeared from behind a bus that was turning right from North Flores onto Pecan Street.

The injured teen was taken by EMS to Metropolitan Methodist Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

She didn't "appear" from behind the bus . . . she was travelling northbound on Flores, in the proper lane, and the driver of the vehicle that struck her did not keep a proper lookout and her as she was lawfully proceeding northbound on Flores Street.
