SAN ANTONIO -- A teen was hit by a truck while helping push a stalled SUV.
Police said a Hummer ran out of gas on Bandera Road just outside of Loop 1604 around 8:00 p.m. Wednesday. While one of the three teens inside the Hummer remained inside to steer, two others got and started pushing the vehicle. A pickup truck traveling in the same lane then crashed into the back of the Hummer, hitting one of two teens who were pushing it.
The injured 16-year-old was taken to Methodist Children's Hospital with broken bones.
The 27-year-old woman who was driving the pickup truck told police she was distracted by the radio and did not notice the Hummer or the teens in front of her before the crash.
