SAN ANTONIO - A 16-year-old was seriously injured when he was hit by an SUV on the Northwest Side Monday evening.
The accident happened around 7:00 p.m. Monday in the 5500 block of Fredericksburg Road, near Donore Place. A police report states a woman driving a Volvo SUV was traveling north behind another vehicle in the middle lane on Fredericksburg Road. The woman told officers she had just moved into the left lane, when she spotted the teen standing in the road in front of her SUV. She said she had no time to react and hit the teen, who was wearing dark clothing.
The teen was taken to University Hospital in critical condition.
The driver stopped to offer assistance and is not facing any charges.
