SAN ANTONIO - Police found a woman in her bathroom after a brutal attack, and neighbors are in shock and disbelief after learning the suspect is someone they say was close to the victim.
Police were called to a home in the 13,000 block of Coleridge on the Northeast Side.
"It's just sad and just scares me," said one neighbor.
It was difficult for a neighbor to talk on camera. The homeowner said she went two doors down and saw the victim, 63-year-old Adriana Carrillo Terry, lying in a pool of blood. Wednesday around 2:30 p.m., police were called to the house for an assault.
"She was just a beautiful person, just a beautiful person," the neighbor told us.
According to police, Terry died at San Antonio Military Medical Center hours after suffering blows to her head and chest.
Officers arrested a 16-year-old boy in connection with Terry's death. Investigators won’t confirm Terry's relationship with the teen.
Detectives said the teen could be charged with murder.
