Local trainer Pete Hardy of STW 911 Defense wanted to make sure the teachers were trained to become first responders. So on Friday he offered to instruct more than 100 teachers from all over Texas the skills and tactics to protect others from the line of fire -- in those precious minutes before law enforcement arrives.

Wonderful defeat-us attitude, canaan and texann. If the opportunity presents itself the training could be the difference. Canaandogsrule don't be a teacher. You might suggest that the officers that also receive this training just forget about it because it won't help one bit.

Doesn't help one bit if the gunman is standing 20 feet away and spraying the room with an automatic weapon.
