LIVE OAK, Texas -- The Live Oak Police Department is investigating a report of suspicious activity at a gym.
The department received a report about several small holes in the ceiling of the women's shower stalls at the Gold's Gym located in the 7900 block of Pat Booker Road. The woman who contacted police said she was concerned someone may have recorded video of women in the shower.
A news release states investigators found several small holes in the ceiling but did not locate any camera equipment or evidence to suggest that equipment had been installed at any time. Police said the investigation will remain open, and they are asking for anyone with information related to the complaint to contact them at 210.653.9140.
Gold's Gym issued the following statement concerning the complaint:
“We are taking this matter very seriously and are assisting the police fully in their investigation. The privacy and security of our members is paramount at Gold’s Gym and we will do everything in our power to help the police identify this individual. We have also begun taking steps to ensure this never happens again.”
