SAN ANTONIO -- Police have arrested one of three suspects wanted in connection with the beating death of a man.
Police say 41-year-old Juan Romero was attacked by three men outside the Diamond D Food Mart at Vance Jackson near West Avenue Monday night. Police say Romero was followed into the store by one man. When he walked out of the store, two other men attacked him.
"It appears the victim was trying to get back into the store when a third suspect came out and began to attack him," said Matt Porter from the San Antonio Police Department.
Romero was taken to University Hospital where he died during surgery.
Police arrested one of the suspects, 25-year-old Bernardo Crisanto, on Thursday. A murder warrant has also been issued for 40-year-old Larry Castro. Police are still trying to identify a third suspect, who was wearing a gray muscle shirt.
