HUNTSVILLE, Texas (AP) - The U.S. Supreme Court has refused to stop the execution of a former Army recruiter who had received three previous stays of execution.

Cleve Foster was condemned for his role in the 2002 shooting death of a woman he and a buddy met at a Fort Worth bar.

Attorneys for the 48-year-old Foster argue he's innocent of the slaying of 30-year-old Nyaneur Pal and that his legal help was deficient at trial and early in the appeals process.

The victim, known as Mary Pal, was a Sudanese immigrant. She was shot in the head and dumped in a ditch on Valentine's Day 2002.

The court rejected Foster's appeals Tuesday just hours before he could be taken to the Texas death chamber for lethal injection.

We need another one. Still waiting on the execution of Anthony Bartee 16 years now. Hopefully this sets a trend.

Execute this murderer already. And for twister, yes this murderer is white, and he should still die. All murderers should die, white, black, brown, yellow, red, who cares anymore. Let the Earth reclaim their carbon body.

"he's innocent" no mention of his involvement in the murder of Rachel Urnosky. Both victims were raped and shot in the head. DNA matched his.
