Substitute teacher fired after accused of passing note to student

While the actions of the teacher are very bad and deserve actions such as firing and possibly criminal charges where is the other side of responsibility ? Why are there not rules that would get a child expelled for participating in this type of behavior? The teacher did not magically obtain her cell phone number to be able to send inapropriate text messages. It takes two to tango as they say so both parties need to be punished. Get your butt whooped for trying to get with a 40 year old man as well as you are now kicked out of school.

I was wrong.....since my previous comment, I spoke with a teacher who corrected me by advising that many school districts require that you apply to be a sub and are hired by being placed on a list. Sorry.

I did not know that substitute teachers had ever been hired to begin with. How do you fire a substitute if they are not permanent to begin with? You may relieve them of their substitute duties and/or not use them again, but you probably cannot fire them. ABC123.........agree with you. Too many morons trying to come across dumber than they already are in this forum.
