SAN ANTONIO -- Aspirin does a body good.

A new study suggests aspirin can reduce the risk of melanoma in women. Stanford University researchers say women who took aspirin before heading out into the sun had a 20% lower risk for the skin cancer.

Aspirin has been shown to lower the risk for colon cancer and heart disease, but more research is needed before doctors recommend taking it to prevent melanoma.
