Students who bullied bus monitor learn their punishment

I pray the community service these boys experience teaches them some life lessons that put an end to their cruel behavior. Having said that, I am not certain they will ever be out of the shadow of their most cruel act. I hope, for their sake, they do live past all this and become decent human beings.

Forget about the grammar and literary style. I think the heading is right. They did learn about the details of their punishment. Not a biggie. What worries me is the prevalence of bullies among school district ADMINISTRATORS. We see it from time to time in the media, but that is just the tip of the iceberg. How can school district "executives" expect a student to be level-headed when the same student's parent, for example, who works at the same district, is contantly bullied by his/her superior? And when it comes up in the media what the outraged tax-paying public does? That's right. Nothing. Bullying among students will not stop until they stop bullying and abuse against shool district workers. If you scratch the surface you'll see how parvasive this kind of bullying is.

Good! Though they should've gotten at least 100 hours of community service because fifty is less than an hour a week in one year.....But, hopefully they'll learn something from the senior citizens and maybe even a couple will grow up to work in that realm. I pray they'll be wiser for the wear...:)

I agree Philly, george you need to read the context of the statement. It is grammatically correct because they learned what their punishment would be not a lesson. I guess the author could have written "learned of their punishment" but either way it is correct.

I call it the dumbing down of america). I am referring to the title of this article: students who bullied bus monitor LEARN THEIR PUNISHMENT" Obviously you don't know proper english if you wrote "learn their punishment." that is incorrect. You should have written "LEARN FROM THEIR PUNISHMENT" you fool. BUT DON'T BE TOO HARD ON YOURSELF BECAUSE AMERICA AS A WHOLE HAS BEEN DUMBING DOWN VERY MUCH SO OVER THE PAST TEN YEARS.
