SAN ANTONIO -- Earlier this week, a judge ruled in favor of the Northside Independent School District regarding a dispute over the district's RFID tracking badge.
Student Andrea Hernandez refused to wear the badge, saying it violated her religious beliefs. Think the case is closed? No quite. After losing the injunction, the Hernandez family filed an appeal.
With the current decision, if Andrea does not wear an ID badge, she will have to go to another school.
Northside ISD officials say the appeals are costing district taxpayers tens of thousands of dollars. They say they plan to recover the costs from the Hernandez family.
