SAN ANTONIO -- Dozens of film students attending school districts throughout Bexar County submitted entries for an annual contest spotlighting a serious issue: bullying.

Roland Olveda had his younger siblings play actors to create his short film up for public review tonight.

The top entries in the, "Can't Beat Love" contest will be shown at the Santikos Northwest 14 theatre near Callaghan Road and 1-10.

The National Council of Jewish Women and the Family Violence and Protection Services sponsors the event.

This is the 4th year the contest has given students a chance to deliver messages on how bullies cause emotional and physical pain. Categories for the contest include: animation, foreign language film, public service announcement and short film.

Tonight, during the red carpet and awards event, area high school students will win cash prizes ranging from $300 to $1000 for videos they created.
