SAN ANTONIO -- Northeast Independent School District police are investigating a bomb threat written in a school bathroom.
A student at Churchill High School noticed a message in the boys' bathroom Monday and took a picture of it with his phone. The message on the bathroom stall read "A bomb will go off February 7th." That student immediately showed his principal the picture, and Northeast ISD Police were called.
Officers searched the school twice before allowing students back on campus. School officials sent a letter home to parents informing them that the threat was made.
This is the first bomb threat of the school year. Last year, two were reported. Northeast ISD officials are encouraging all students to come forward if they hear or see something suspicious. The district says if they would like to remain anonymous, they can call 655-CARE (2273).
