SA ANTONIO - Heavy winds are being blamed for several power outages across San Antonio Tuesday night.
Strong, gusty winds are being blamed for blowing down a tree on McCullough Avenue near Downtown. That tree knocked down a power line when it fell. That same tree also fell on top of a passing car that was driving down McCullough.
"The power lines got taken out as it fell. So in front of us it is all lightning and behind us the glass is shattering out of the back of the car. So it was something else!" said the driver who's car was hit.
Police were forced to close McCullough because of that downed power line.
CPS Energy reported Tuesday evening that 750 people across San Antonio were without power.
