SOMERSET, Texas -- It's two months into the school year, and students and parents are still waiting for a school zone at a brand new junior high school in Somerset.

The school sits along Loop 1604, where the speed limit is 60 miles per hour.

The Texas Department of Transportation has put up flashing lights indicating a 45-mile per hour zone around the school, but there are no flashing lights for a 20-mile per hour school zone.
