SAN ANTONIO -- Emergency crews rushed a man to the hospital and into surgery after his car flipped and slammed into a train Sunday night.
The accident happened around 8:30 p.m. along Wetmore Road, between Broadway and Loop 410 on the North Side.
Witnesses told police the man was seen speeding and weaving his car in and out of traffic before the wreck. They said his car hit a curb, flew into the air, and hit a train sitting on the tracks.
Police were also concerned when they found a child's car seat inside the man's vehicle. After combing the area, however, it was determined the man was alone inside the car at the time of the accident.
Officers at the accident site told News 4 WOAI there were signs alcohol might have been a factor.
