SAN ANTONIO - Harlandale school administrators spent all day Tuesday reviewing video footage of the Harlandale high school soccer game against Victoria East. A brawl broke out inside Harlandale Memorial Stadium after the game last Thursday.
Harlandale ISD spokesperson Leslie Garza told News 4 WOAI a Harlandale player started the fight.
"After reviewing the game film, going student by student, ten students will be facing disciplinary action," said Garza.
Garza went on to say school administrators will meet again on Wednesday to discuss the players punishments.
"We still need to determine what the exact disciplinary action will be," added Garza.
According to Victoria ISD spokesperson Diane Boyett, several Victoria East players suffered injuries.
"One player suffered a broke nose, and two others had facial injuries," replied Boyett.
The brawl lasted a total of 28 seconds. The incident has been reported to the UIL.
"We are waiting to see if Harlandale will face any additional sanctions," said Boyett.
Boyett went on to say the team's soccer coach and all three students who were injured have all indicated they will pursue separate criminal charges.
