SAN ANTONIO - A new drug is showing promise at instantly making you sober no matter how much you've had to drink.
The drug is a chemical called dihydromyricetin or DHM, and is made from the oriental raisin tree.
It has been used to cure hangovers in China for at least 500 years.
The lead researcher said when used over time, the drug can reduce an alcoholic's desire for alcohol.
So far, the extract has only been tested on rats.
Researchers hope to begin testing the drug on humans soon.
