Six people arrested after police chase
SAN ANTONIO -- Six suspects, including five teenagers, are accused of going on a beer run and then leading police on a chase. Police say the group walked into a gas station on Bandera Road just after 1:00 a.m. Thursday. They told the clerk they had a gun and stole a 12-pack of beer. The group then led police on a chase and ended up bailing from the car at a nearby park.
A police helicopter and canine unit were called in to help track down the group. An officer was also hurt during the chase, but is expected to be alright.
All six suspects were caught and are now facing a number of charges, including evading and resisting arrest, assaulting a peace officer, and robbery.
