SAN ANTONIO -- Six suspects, including five teenagers, are accused of going on a beer run and then leading police on a chase.

Police say the group walked into a gas station on Bandera Road just after 1:00 a.m. Thursday. They told the clerk they had a gun and stole a 12-pack of beer. The group then led police on a chase and ended up bailing from the car at a nearby park.

A police helicopter and canine unit were called in to help track down the group. An officer was also hurt during the chase, but is expected to be alright.

All six suspects were caught and are now facing a number of charges, including evading and resisting arrest, assaulting a peace officer, and robbery.

Little punks that go to Brandeis HS...Glad they are off the street. Unfortunately, they WILL be back. Parents get court dates for kids not attending school, BUT what about charges for curfew violations? Charge the parents too, just as Gnaeus said. Camidawg, this is probably one of the first times I have ever agreed with you. MiMi92711, I am Sorry you had to go thru that...Probably a pretty scary thing. Hope you're ok

Okay, these people got it so wrong. I was the girl working at the Exxon. They did a beer run at 1130 at a store down the street from me and then came to my store at 1:15 am and took cigarillos and cigarettes. and Yes, they threatened me with a gun... Then they started the chase. They say that one of the kids involved was the kid that murdered that 18 year old for his car...

Should also add violation of curfew if they were minors.

A school night, teenagers, stealing, felony evading, another great example of model parenting.

You never know what to believe when the news from different local stations prints different information. Another site says that cigarettes and cigars were stolen, whereas here it says beer. Who to belive?!?!?!?!??!

Were they high school aged teenagers? If so, isn't it like the middle of the week or something? I sense the start of one of those really long rap sheets that purpetual jailbirds seem to have. nip it in the bud now and go straight to lethal injection....or fire back up Ol' Sparky.
