Shotgun-toting robbers escape after bank heist

SAN ANTONIO -- Police are searching for three suspects following a bank robbery on the Northeast Side.

Investigators said two Hispanic men wearing ski masks and bandanas entered the Lone Star Capital Bank near Interstate 35 and Weidner around 2:00 p.m. Monday. According to witnesses, one of the men held a long-barrel shotgun, while the other demanded cash. After a teller handed over an undisclosed amount of money, the pair ran to a nearby gas station where a getaway car and driver were waiting for them.

Witnesses said the two men were about 5' 9" tall and weighed about 160 pounds. The getaway driver was described as a heavyset Hispanic woman with long hair. The trio fled in a white Ford Focus.
