SEGUIN – Detectives with the Seguin Police Department have been working around the clock questioning suspects in the shooting death of Garland Taylor.

Taylor was shot multiple times on Anderson Street October 16, in what police are calling a gang-related shooting.

So far, warrants have been issued for eight men and a teenage boy. Investigators say the men they arrested are known members of rival gangs called The Crips and Mexican Mafia. Detectives say the men they have targeted are directly or indirectly related to Taylor’s shooting.

Seguin police have yet to identify the person who shot Taylor. They are still actively investigating the murder.

Anyone with information about the shooting can call the Seguin Police Department’s 24-hour hotline at (830) 379-2123. Tips can be made anonymously.
