SAN ANTONIO -- A second suspect has been arrested in connection with a deadly attack at a West Side auto repair shop.

Police say 32-year-old Herman Matamoros is charged with murder and aggravated assault. According to investigators, Matamoros is one of three men who attacked 58-year-old Jose Luis Medrano and his son 27-year-old Joseph Medrano at their transmission shop on Castroville Road Wednesday afternoon.

Jose Medrano was beaten with a shovel during the attack and later died from his injuries. Joseph Medrano was also injured but is expected to recover.

Another suspect, David Lee Garcia, was arrested Thursday. Police say the attack is related to an argument that happened at the shop a couple of hours before the attack between Garcia and his ex-girlfriend, who is reportedly now dating Jose Medrano's other son.
